Aeratus ran a nice race when way over the odds last start, finishing 3rd to Jacquinot Bay in the Lord Stakes. 3rd up here and ready to deliver in the Comedy King Hcp, 1600m. Worked stylishly during the week over 1200m in even time, home last 400m in 23.37.

Mighty Like flopped last start when starting a $3.20 fav. Prepared to forgive him, he should go close to bouncing back here. Galloped on Tuesday morning over 1200m in 1.19.72, last 400m in 23.47.

Bit of a watch on the debutante Gungastruck, from the Mick Price stable, lining up at Morphettville in the Schweppes Plate, 1000m. Trialled well recently at Caulfield, finishing 3rd and look to have something in reserve as they went to the line. Trained on nicely and should run a nice race here on Saturday. Tuesday morning she worked over 800m in 52.71, home last 400m in 24.97.

The Robert Smerdon trained Every Faith was super impressive second up, scoring with ease over 1600m at Moonee Valley in a BM90 fillies and mares race. Reports are that she’s trained on a treat, expect her to be thereabouts at the business end in the Jezabeel Hcp, run over 1600m. Tuesday morning she wasn’t out to break any records on the training track, she strode over 1400m in even time and last 400m in 24.25, on the steel. Rises 4kg in weight, which is a bit of a concern.

The Peter Moody trained Herstory is likely to run at Flemington at this stage, in the Nouvelle Star Hcp, 1400m. (also nominated for the Gold Coast Guineas). Just fell in last start at Sandown over 1400m. 3rd up here, meets a similar field on paper, looks a solid each way hope again. Tuesday morning she worked over 800m in 56.0, last 400m in 26.04, doing all that was asked of her.

Lord Athenaeum is flying for the Stewart Webb camp, he’ll face the starter in the Straight Draw Hcp, 1700m, a BM78 for the 3 and 4yo’s. He’s rock hard fit and won’t have any problems stepping up in distance. Tuesday morning he worked over 1400m in 1.44.86, last 400m in 24.51. Spot on for this assignment and expected to run well again.

Enigmatic 4yo gelding Crime Fighter has the class to dispose of this field, should he put his best foot forward on the day. Worked well on Tuesday morning over 1400m, stopping the clock at 1.39.72, last 400m split on 24.90. Currently $18 in fixed odds markets, representing good each way value for punters.

Anfitriona didn’t fire a shot first up, beaten 5.6L behind the in form Madam Gangster. Fitter for the run and will improve with racing. Looks some sort of each way hope in the January Hcp, 1400m. She worked over 1000m on Tuesday morning, recording a time of 1.09.27, last 400m in 25.54. Value runner and one for the multiples.

San Nicasio comes in beautifully at the weights  in the Tauto Hcp, run over 1400m. Impressive first up at Mooney Valley, drops down to 52.5kg after the claim. Always shown above average ability, keep following him this time in. Tuesday morning he worked over 1000m in 1.09.49, last 400m in 25.10.

Samartested resumes here. Ran some nice sectionals on Tuesday morning when working over 800m, she worked home last 400m in 22.72 and a slick 11.33 last furlong.
