No world beaters assembled to run in the Isuzu Hcp, run over 1600m. Eximius looks a touch unlucky last start, losing momentum at a vital stage in running, having to check off heels and hitting the line hard when the race was all over. Worked nicely on Tuesday morning without being pressured too hard. Went through his paces over 1200m, recording 1.23.11 and 11.89 last furlong. The step up to a mile should suit him perfectly.

The Byron Cozamanis trained Tanzy will need an ounce of luck from barrier 12 on Friday night under lights at Moonee Valley in the Jeep 55 Second Challenge Heat, run over 955m. Has a stack of ability on his day, rock hard fit and thriving in work, expect him to be powering home late. Worked super on Tuesday morning, partnering up with Ventic over 800m, stopping the clock at 48.64.

Gallant Harmony resumes. Track work has been pleasing and looks forward enough to run a good race first up.

Lady Tatia represents the Peter Moody stable Friday night under lights in the Slickpix Hcp, run over 1600m. Very weak race on paper, step up to a mile 2nd up shouldn’t be a problem. Tuesday morning she worked over 1200m in 1.21.93, home last 400m in 24.62. Classy mare who’s in nicely after the claim with 56kg, one to follow this time in.

The John Salanitri trained I love It didn’t have the best of luck when resuming at Caulfield, help up for a run throughout and finished only 5.25L off The Messina Nymph. Trained on nicely, connections very pleased with her progress going into the Easy Waste Plate, 1200m at Ballarat. Worked solidly on Tuesday morning, striding over 1000m in 1.05.54, last 800m split in 50.0. partnering up with Orlando Jack.

The Andrew Noblet trained Trieste gets his chance to turn the tables on Prompt Return in the Magic Millions Clockwise Classic, run over 1000m. Impressive debut run, trained on well and drawn barrier one which should be a huge plus. Worked solidly on Tuesday morning, partnering up with Eclat (debutant from the Mick Price stable), they worked the reverse way over 800m in 53.95, home last 200m in 12.07.

Devon Princess rates as an each way hope in the Thomas Jewellers Hcp, 1400m. Drops down to 55kg after lumping big weights last 3 starts and performing quite well. Fitness wise she’s rock hard fit, drawn well, stable happy with her progress to date. Tuesday morning she worked over 1000m in 1.08.02, home last 200m in 11.91.

The Robert Smerdon trained Spinderbella looks well placed in the Sportingbet Ballarat Cup, run over 2200m. Comes in beautifully with 54kg, still on the up and more than capable of figuring prominently here. Thriving in work, undefeated on track, expected to go close here. Tuesday morning she partnered up with Electric Fusion (also a live “value” hope here) over 1600m, stopping the clock at 1.54.79, last 600m in 36.72.

Count Of Limonade appeals on an each way basis.
