Lightfeet Lady Chasing City Win

FIVE-YEAR-OLD Lightfeet Lady will try to emulate her younger half-sister Tambo's Jewel with a city win after a scintillating return to racing on the Sunshine Coast.
"She'll start in town in a midweek Benchmark 75. We'll try to get a city win on her resume,'' trainer Stuart Kendrick said after she resumed with victory on the cushion track at the June 1 twilight meeting."

Depending on how she goes, we then might aim a little bit higher and go into one of the better sprints at the end of the carnival,'' he said.
Tambo's Jewel, a three-year-old, won a midweek race at Eagle Farm on May 1.
Lightfeet Lady, a prolific winner in central and north Queensland, had gone close to her own city win when placed at Eagle Farm and Doomben towards the end of last year.
Both horses are owned by Townsville breeder Dalan Tamblyn.
Lightfeet Lady's Sunshine Coast win in a Benchmark 75 (1000m) was her first run since finishing sixth of seven over 900m at the Gold Coast on December 29.
"It was great to see her back in the winner's circle,'' said Kendrick.
Ridden by Dale Missen, she speared to the lead from the outside barrier and kicked strongly to win by a length in the straight as an $8 chance.
She now has eight wins and five placings from 21 career starts, for more than $88,000 in prize money.
The win was one of two on the day for the stable.
Earlier, Pretty Gully bolted in a Class 4 (1200m) on a heavy track at the Gold Coast.
Ridden by Chris Whiteley, Pretty Gully ($3.40) was untroubled in winning by four-and-a-half lengths.
"She's done such a good job since we bought her as a tried horse,'' Kendrick said.
The three-year-old fill y has now won three of six starts for the stable.
"We were confident going into the race coming off a good third in a hot provincial field at the Sunshine Coast behind General Groove from Melbourne," Kendrick said.
