First Foal From A Two-Time Stakes-winning Mare!

Introducing Grand Syndicates’ well-bred and big value new colt, a son of the outstanding sire RESET and the first foal from the multiple stakes-winning kiwi miler REMEMBA HOWE!

Racing fans and breeding fans alike need no introduction to RESET as a sire. FAWKNER, REBEL RAIDER, PINKER PINKER, HAURAKI, SET SQUARE, DISPOSITION, SET FOR FAME and AVIENUS are just some of his Group 1 winning or placed gallopers. His progeny have won the Cox Plate, Caulfield Cup, VRC Derby, SAJC Derby, VRC Oaks, ATC Epsom Handicap, Makybe Diva Stakes, Caulfield Stakes just to name the Group 1s. As a sire, the son of ZABEEL has nothing left to prove. If you want a strong and sound type that can sprint early, then train out to the classic distances, RESET is your sire.
What you might not know about RESET though is the rate at which his colts excel. With 231 individual winners amongst them at a big 66% runners to winners, it’s a full 10% better than his fillies and includes 18 stakes-winners so far, at nearly 8% winners to stakes-winners. All of those numbers are particularly high by industry standards. Throw in the fact that his colts average earnings of over $85,000 on the racetrack, and the numbers continue to stack up in favour of this son of RESET.

This colt doesn’t lean on his sire though, and in particular, it’s the addition of his multiple NZ black-type winning dam REMEMBA HOWE which make this colt one of the best bred horses to join Team Grand since inception. No question a very, very good racehorse, the 3yo season of REMEMBA HOWE was an outstanding one. She was good enough to win both the Listed O’Leary’s Fillies Stakes at Wanganui as well as the Group 3 Gold Trail stakes at Hastings, 2 starts later, in the G1 2000 Guineas at Riccarton, she would go within a length of champion New Zealand and Australian galloper JIMMY CHOUX during his devastating run of 9 wins from 12 startsthrough 2010 and 2011. That run included 5 Group 1s on both sides of the ditch an interestingly, ended when 2nd to RESET’s daughter PINKER PINKER in the 2011 Cox Plate! The following season, REMEMBA HOWE would also add close-up 2nd placings in the Listed Challenge Stakes and Listed Tuaranga Classic before crossing over to Australia and adding a Moonee Valley win to her resume before retiring to stud.

To be trained by Luke Oliver at his new Romsey training centre, Kerrygail Farm, which has produced a big number of recent young winners for Team Grand, full 5% shares in this colt are available for only $2,200 and come with Grand’s stress-free fixed fee structure of $6.60 a day. Don’t miss the opportunity to add a horse and pedigree of this calibre to your stable for what looks a big discount on what you’d usually expect to pay!
